Kaufmann's department store was big in the 1930's. The Kaufmann family commissioned the famous Falling Water house by Frank Lloyd Wright.
The building was still Kaufmann's when I arrived in Pittsburgh, but was soon turned into a Macy's department store. Today, even the Macy's is gone. It makes me sad. I always like that store and location. The clock was a common landmark to meet people under.

The bottom level of the Union Trust Building is undergoing renovation. The building remains, but Union Trust is no more.

This building used to be part of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, P.P.G. Co. Now it appears to be a warehouse of some kind.

[used to be] Pittsburgh & Lake Erie R.R.
The proud building of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie RailRoad is now offices and a nice restaurant named The Grand Concourse after the old train concourse that it's built in.
